Workshops

The purpose of workshops is to provide a more interactive and focused platform for presenting and discussing new and emerging ideas. The format of paper presentations may include oral presentations and poster presentations. Workshops can be scheduled for 1 day or 2 days.

All accepted papers will be published on the workshop proceedings book, under an ISBN reference, and on CD-ROM support.
All papers presented at the conference venue will be available at the SCITEPRESS Digital Library (http://www.scitepress.org/DigitalLibrary/).
SCITEPRESS is member of CrossRef (http://www.crossref.org/).
The proceedings are submitted for indexation by Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (ISI), INSPEC, DBLP, EI (Elsevier Index) and Scopus.

GEODIFF Workshop - GEODIFF 2013

Chair

Aymeric Histace
ETIS UMR CNRS 8051; IUT de Cergy-Pontoise
France

Scope

The main aim of this special session is to bring together researchers who are interested in variationnal methods and by multi agent system in order to (i) reflect on a state-of- the-art on their abilities to model reaction--diffusion processes, and (ii) to discuss potential new applications since these two different types of tools are not generally 3 associated with each other whereas such a joint applications can be of primary interest to model complex diffusion process at different scales of the phenomenon.

A second objective of this special session, but not necessarily less important than the first one, is to imagine through this particular application context new tools that will find future applicability in image processing (image restoration or inpainting mainly).

4th International Workshop on
Image Mining. Theory and Applications
 - IMTA-4 2013

Co-chairs

Igor Gurevich

Russian Federation

Ovidio Salvetti
Inst. of Information Science and Technologies - ISTI, National Research Council of Italy - CNR
Italy

Heinrich Niemann
Chair of Pattern Recognition, University of Erlangen-Nuernberg
Germany

Scope

The main purpose of the IMTA-workshop is to provide the fusion of modern mathematical approaches and techniques for image analysis/pattern recognition with the requests of applications.

The IMTA-4 will continue the series of workshops devoted to modern mathematical techniques of image mining and to corresponding applications. The IMTA-4-2013 will be conducted in cooperation with the Technical Committee No.16 "Algebraic and Discrete Mathematical Techniques in Pattern Recognition and Image Analysis" of the International Association for Pattern Recognition and with the National Committee for Pattern Recognition and Image Analysis of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The workshop will consist of a small number of invited talks, contributed talks and informal discussions, and a wrap-up session.
